Place Partnerships
We can move’s place partnerships are a collaboration between Active Gloucestershire, NHS Gloucestershire, the local authority, housing, voluntary and community sector partners, leisure and local clubs, groups and residents within Cinderford and Gloucester. These partnerships aim to identify and reduce the local systemic barriers to activity and build the conditions that enable residents and people working in these areas to move more
Cinderford
Since October 2023 the Cinderford place partnership has been in operation. So far this has included strengths based approaches, community building, community games (Beat the Street), stakeholder analysis and dynamic systems mapping and group action setting.

Gloucester
Since 2018 the Gloucester place partnership has supported to build capacity in priority wards in the city for communities to activate themselves. From cycling projects for woman, community chest grant schemes, community building, Beat the Street and investing in community led health and wellbeing roles. There is also a focus on children and young people, women and girls safe access to parks and green spaces and the development of sites for physical activity and sport across the city
